Holiday light recycling begins Nov. 19
The DeKalb County Health Department is partnering with Elgin Recycling for its second annual holiday lights recycling program.
The recycling program will run from Nov. 19 to Jan. 14. Accepted items include mini or Italian lights, C7 lights, C9 lights, rope lights, LED lights and extension cords.
Residents can drop off old holiday lights at the DeKalb County Health Department, 2550 N. Annie Glidden Road in DeKalb; the DeKalb County Farm Bureau, 1350 W. Prairie Drive in Sycamore; the DeKalb Park District's sports and recreation center, 1765 S. Fourth St. in DeKalb; Screwballs T-shirts and Signs, 125 E. Lincoln Highway in Waterman; the City of Genoa building, 333 E. First St. in Genoa; the City of Sandwich building, 144 E. Railroad St. in Sandwich; Sycamore Centre, 308 W. State St. in Sycamore; and the City of DeKalb Municipal Building, 200 S. Fourth St. in DeKalb.
