S.D. traffic stops net 62 pounds of marijuana
RAPID CITY, S.D. – Two men from Illinois are accused of trying to haul 62 pounds of marijuana through South Dakota in two pickup trucks.
The Rapid City Journal reported Wednesday that a Highway Patrol trooper with a drug-sniffing dog busted one of the men during a traffic stop on Interstate 90. A state Game, Fish and Parks officer arrested the other man at a New Underwood convenience store.
Forty-nine-year-old Marty Edwards of Dale, and 37-year-old Eric Edwards of Moline, each could face up to 50 years in prison if convicted.
