DeKalb crews continue leaf collection

DeKalb is continuing to collect loose leaves north of Lincoln Highway this week and south of Lincoln Highway next week.

Vacuum truck crews will pick up leaves piled between the curb and the sidewalk between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, according to a city news release. Residents should not rake leaves into the street and should avoid parking on the street while leaf collection continues.

Depending on the weather, crews will continue collecting leaves through November, alternating between sections north and south of Lincoln Highway each week. Waste Management will collect leaves in open garbage cans or yard waste bags during regular garbage pickup, the city news release states.
