Market Square hosts video game contest

Your chance to be an arcade hero could happen Saturday at Market Square Cinema in DeKalb.

As part of the celebration around the opening of the Disney movie, “Wreck-It Ralph,” Star Worlds Arcade will bring several of their classic video games to the theater for a friendly competition among theatergoers.

“Wreck-It Ralph” is an animated movie about a video game “bad-guy” that has a dream of becoming an arcade hero. Participants at Market Square Cinema can test their old-school arcade skills against “Wreck-It Ralph” co-stars Q-Bert, Pac-Man and even Donkey Kong. The best of the best will be invited to a face-off tournament at Star Worlds Arcade on Nov. 10. There is no purchase necessary to participate in the tournament.
