KC Library hosts early outlaws program

The Kishwaukee College Library will host a presentation on outlaws of Illinois titled “Desperadoes: Notorious Outlaws of Early Illinois” at 7 p.m. Monday in Room L202 at the library.

The presentation is free and open to the public.

The presenter will be scholar John Hallwas. A native of Macomb, Hallwas spent 10 years doing the research for his historical book “Dime Novel Desperadoes: The Notorious Maxwell Brothers,” which won the Midland Award for Best Biography from the Midwest in 2009.
