Group to see ‘Book of Mormon’

Published: Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 5:30 a.m. CDT

The Northern Illinois University Annuitants Association will travel to Chicago on Jan. 16 to see a matinee performance of “The Book of Mormon.”

“The Book of Mormon” follows two young missionaries who are sent to Uganda to try to convert citizens to the Mormon religion.

One missionary, is an enthusiastic go-getter with a strong dedication to his faith, while his partner is a socially awkward nerd. This show features several big song-and-dance numbers accompanied by some old-fashioned Broadway belting. The show received nine Tony Awards.

The group will leave DeKalb at 9 a.m. to see the 2 p.m. performance at Bank of America Theater. There will be free time for lunch in Chicago’s loop.
