CHICAGO – Gov. Pat Quinn has again pushed back the timeline for when he’ll reveal his so-called grass-roots campaign to rally support for an overhaul of Illinois’ pension system.

Lawmakers have failed to come up with a plan to deal with the roughly $85 billion pension funding gap, which is the worst of any state in the country. Quinn has said he’ll push forward with a grass-roots campaign to win public support. The Chicago Democrat said he’ll now wait until after Nov. 6.

His office has said that the campaign will involve the Internet.
