DeKALB – Voters in DeKalb County Board District 8 will choose from three diverse candidates: a financial expert, a musician-writer and an attorney for an international nonprofit agency.

Republican incumbents Scott Newport and Julia Fullerton will seek another term, while Democrat Marc Johnson hopes to win in his first attempt at public office. District 8 starts at the intersection of Sycamore Road and First Street and runs north along both roads before extending east along Bethany Road to include a portion of Sycamore.

Voters will be asked to select two of the three candidates.
