Teen pleads guilty to 
battery, gets probation

SYCAMORE – A DeKalb teen charged with attacking police officers and jail staff was
sentenced to probation Tuesday.

During a hearing at the DeKalb County Courthouse, Kaitlyn M. Park, 18, of the 1300 block of Market Street in DeKalb, pleaded guilty to five counts of battery.

Police said Park – arrested in July – kicked, elbowed and spit on DeKalb police officers and swore at and punched a corrections deputy at the DeKalb County Jail.
