Police seek information on two burglaries

Crime Stoppers seeks information on a residential burglary that occurred in the 400 block of Hyde Road in rural Earlville.

The burglary occurred during the overnight hours of Oct. 12, between 10:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. A 60-inch Sony Bravia HDTV and silver Ruger .44 magnum revolver handgun in a brown Western-style gun belt were taken, according to a Crime Stoppers news release.

While there, the offenders discharged rounds into the residence.

Crime Stoppers also seeks information on a residential burglary that occurred between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Oct. 10 in the 1800 block of Charles Waite Drive in Sycamore, according to the news release.

The offenders forced their way into the home through the south side door into the garage.

They went through most of the house, taking two wedding rings, an Xbox and a camera.

Callers do not have to give their names. Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 and those with information can remain anonymous.
