Man gets probation in toilet-burning plea

SYCAMORE – A Cortland man police said set fire to a portable toilet last year was sentenced to probation Tuesday.

During a hearing at the DeKalb County Courthouse in Sycamore, Richard J. Fioretto, 35, of the 200 block of West Ellen Avenue in Cortland, pleaded guilty to criminal damage to property.

He was arrested in July 2011 after a portable toilet was found on fire in a driveway in the 100 block of North Juniper Street in Cortland.
