Police seek suspect in Saturday stabbing
DeKALB – Police are searching for a suspect in a stabbing that occurred early Saturday in DeKalb.
DeKalb police Lt. Jason Leverton said police were contacted by Kishwaukee Community Hospital about 2:30 a.m. Saturday about a stabbing victim that was receiving treatment.
An argument broke out as a small party was ending about 1:45 a.m. at a residence in the 1300 block of Pleasant Street in DeKalb, Leverton said.
The victim was stabbed in the back of the head when he tried to separate those arguing.
The man’s injuries were not life threatening.
Police still are working to identify the male suspect. Those involved in the incident have not been cooperative, Leverton said.
