Physical therapist Olson presents at conference

Ken Olson, physical therapist with Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists in DeKalb, recently presented a workshop on teaching manipulation to entry-level physical therapy students at the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists Conference held in Quebec City, Quebec. There were 1,500 physical therapists from 48 countries in attendance.

Olson promoted his work to enhance the level of instruction in manipulation techniques in the curriculum of the 208 physical therapy programs in the United States, including promoting his textbook on the topic, “Manual Physical Therapy of the Spine,” published in 2009.

Olson, an executive committee member of the federation, was reelected for an additional four-year term to serve this international professional organization. Olson has been a partner with Northern Rehab since 1996.
