SYCAMORE – A DeKalb woman accused of stealing from a neighbor appeared in court Monday.

Amy J. Williams, 34, of the 400 block of Haish Boulevard in DeKalb, is charged with two counts of residential burglary. If convicted, she faces up to 15 years in prison.

Williams appeared in court via closed-circuit TV from the DeKalb County Jail. Also wanted in the incident is Joseph W. Bauman, 28, who lives with Williams.

The two are charged with stealing prescription medication and jewelry from a neighbor’s apartment May 29 and Sept. 7 in the 500 block of Leonard Avenue.

A warrant issued Oct. 12 set Williams’ bond at $75,000. A public defender was appointed to represent Williams, who will appear in court again Nov. 19.
