DeKALB – Jillian Duchnowski was named news editor of the Daily Chronicle on Monday.

Duchnowski, who returns to Shaw Media after spending about two years editing Yorkville Patch, an online publication in Kendall County, will supervise the news-gathering operation of the Daily Chronicle, including three reporters and two photographers. She will report to Daily Chronicle Editor Eric Olson.

Duchnowski was a reporter for five years at Shaw Media’s Northwest Herald in McHenry County, where she worked with Olson and wrote about felony trials and breaking crime news.
