Armed robbery suspects have criminal histories

SYCAMORE – Two DeKalb men who appeared in court Monday on armed robbery charges have faced felony charges in the past, records show.

James D. Black, 18, of the 1100 block of South Sixth Street in DeKalb, and Darius Fizer, 21, of the 2500 block of Williams Way in DeKalb, were charged with armed robbery. Black also was charged with three counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and resisting a peace officer. Fizer faces one count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

If convicted of armed robbery, each man could face up to 30 years in prison. Black and Fizer appeared in court Monday via closed-circuit TV from the DeKalb County Jail.
