Time to place fruitcake orders
Orders for homemade fruitcakes from the First Congregational United Church of Christ in DeKalb can be placed starting this weekend.
Small fruitcakes cost $8 and large cakes cost $14. Proceeds benefit local nonprofits.
Order on the sign-up sheet in the narthex of the church, 615 N. First St. in DeKalb, Oct. 21 or 28, or call the church office at 815-758-0691 to place an order. The office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, but messages can be left after hours.
