Letter: Warren Osenberg was an ambassador of DeKalb

To the Editor:

Thursday was a sad day because an icon of DeKalb passed on. His spirit, dedication and love of DeKalb will live on forever.

Warren Osenberg loved DeKalb. Most important in his life were his family along with the community, which was evidenced in his dedication to a profession of serving people.

Too often, people are judged by the material possessions they’ve acquired in life, but Warren learned early on that the real values in a person are those of friendship, loyalty and commitment to their fellow man. This was Warren’s lifelong credo, and he has left a legacy for others to make that same commitment of making our community a better place.

So in the end I say goodbye to my friend, former colleague and ambassador of DeKalb.

Warren Osenberg, you will be missed but never forgotten.
