‘Parenting Bright Children’ talk planned
Chicago Gifted Community Center’s Newenka DuMont will present a roundtable discussion at the DeKalb Public Library titled “Parenting Bright Children.”
The disussion will include characteristics of bright and gifted children, some of the challenges raising them, gifted testing and identification, and different approaches to education. Laws governing gifted education also will be discussed.
The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Nov. 13.
