Nadine Franklin, Kishwaukee College theater faculty, has announced the cast for the Fall 2012 production of Beth Henley’s “Crimes of the Heart.” Show dates are Nov. 7 through 10 at the Kishwaukee College Theater (B-211) with a curtain time of 7:30 p.m. The play will be directed by Nadine Franklin.

The cast will be: Emma Franklin as Lenny Magrath; Amie Burgess as Meg Magrath; Kathleen Tirrell as Babe Botrelle; Tyler Beall as Barnette Lloyd; Brian Perkins as Doc Porter; and Jessica Lang as Chick Boyle. Understudies are Cassandra Rieke and Jonathan Williams. Assistant director is Carolyn Davis-Hoeve and the stage manager is Andrea Shewalter.

The play has become an American classic and the story is often characterized as Southern Gothic for its dark humor and Mississippi setting. The story revolves around the three Magrath sisters who each, in their own way, have committed crimes of the heart and have had to pay the consequences of their actions. “Crimes of the Heart” possesses both comic and dramatic elements.
