A Sycamore man has been charged with leaving his mother at the scene of an accident after she was thrown from his motorcycle Wednesday.

According to a news release from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Ian M. Picurro, 30, of the 100 block of East Reckitt Street in Sycamore, was the driver of a 2009 Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle headed east just after midnight Wednesday on Old State Road north of Route 64.

Picurro drove off the road into the ditch where his mother, Angela Threlkeld, 54, of Kingston, was thrown from the motorcycle.
