SYCAMORE — A bond reduction motion was denied Thursday for a DeKalb man charged with inappropriately touching a child.

Adam M. Timm, 26, of the 300 block of Gurler Street in DeKalb, is charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. If convicted, he faces up to seven years in prison per count.

During a hearing Thursday at the DeKalb County Courthouse, Timm appeared via closed-circuit TV from the county jail.

According to court documents, he inappropriately touched a female family member younger than 13 on Sept. 28.

Bond was set at $150,000 on a warrant issued Oct. 3. Timm, a registered sex offender, first appeared in court Oct. 7.

Presiding Judge Robbin Stuckert denied a motion filed by Timm's attorneys seeking to lower his bond. Timm will appear in court again Oct. 30.
