SYCAMORE — A passenger thrown from a motorcycle and left by the driver early Wednesday on Old State Road was taken to the hospital.

About 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, a motorcyclist missed the curve on Old State Road approaching Route 64 and a female passenger was thrown from the motorcycle. She was left at the scene, according to a news release from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office.

The woman, Angela Threlkeld, 54, of Kingston, was taken to Kishwaukee Community Hospital and transferred to a Rockford hospital for her injuries, said Chief Deputy Gary Dumdie. The sheriff's office continues to investigate the accident, and charges are pending.
