‘Sound of Music’ opens Friday

The Sandwich Opera House will come alive with “The Sound of Music,” opening Friday.

This classic and endearing musical is based on the book “The Story of the Trapp Family Singers.” It features an unforgettable Rodgers and Hammerstein score, including “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi” and “Climb Every Mountain.”

Show dates and times are 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Oct. 19 and 20; and 2 p.m. Sunday and Oct. 21.

Tickets are on sale at www.indianvalleytheatre.com. Tickets cost $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. Seating is general admission. For questions or to reserve tickets, call 630-728-2763. Tickets also will be available for sale one hour before each show at the Opera House box office.
