Aaron and Liza (Wesemann) Piper of Rockford announce the birth of a daughter, Ella Jane Piper, born Aug. 28, 2012, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford. She weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces.

Grandparents are David and Anne Wesemann of Genoa, Tracy Piper of Marengo and Bruce and Lori Piper of Belvidere.

Great-grandparents are Herman Wesemann of Hampshire, Verne and Dorothy Swanson of Marengo and Bill and Clara Piper of Marengo.

Flossie Duffy of Marengo is a great-great-grandmother.
