County Alzheimer’s unit to host fundraiser

DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center’s Special Care Unit for people with Alzheimer’s Disease is hosting a raffle for its annual fundraiser. All participants have an opportunity to win a number of special prizes.

The money raised helps to continue special programs for residents and their families. 

Prizes include a one-of-a-kind maple and walnut pie safe cupboard with punched tin inserts, designed and made by Randy Moseley, a talented woodworker and volunteer. Other prizes include a Coach purse, a flat screen TV, and more.

Raffle tickets cost $1 a ticket or six for $5. They can be purchased at the DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center reception desk, 2600 Annie Glidden Road, DeKalb. Hours for purchasing tickets are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets will be available through Thursday.

The winning tickets will be pulled at 7 p.m. Thursday. Participants do not have to be present to win. Winners will be notified Friday.
