Feds: Alleged Chicago drug ring leaders arrested
CHICAGO – The U.S. attorney's office in Chicago says two alleged drug ring leaders have been arrested as part of a nationwide effort to root out traffickers.
Thirty-nine-year-old Jesus Ramirez-Padilla and 26-year-old Humberto Jiminez were among 27 people arrested around the country Thursday and charged with drug offenses.
Authorities announced the charges on Friday and say a total of 39 defendants are facing drug charges in the investigation.
