DeKALB – Two people face battery charges after a victim told police a Sycamore man held a knife to his throat inside a car driven by a Genoa woman.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call Thursday at 5 p.m. at the intersection of Annie Glidden and Rich roads, where the victim told deputies that Ryan T. Decoster, 18, of the 1100 block of Arneita Street in Sycamore, held a knife to his throat inside the vehicle of Ashley N. Gable, 19, of the 12600 block of Northwoods Drive in Genoa. The incident happened during an argument about property, police said.

The victim was not injured.
