The Spartans swept Dixon in two games, 25-22, 25-15.
Sycamore (9-5) was led by Brittany Huber with six kills and Hannah Knox with five kills. Christina Dailey had 14 digs and Ratasha Garbes dished out 25 assists.
"They were spreading out the offense a lot and it was really working," Sycamore coach Debbie Klock said.
T'wolves bounce back: Indian Creek defeated LaMoille, 25-19, 25-21, on Monday.
Dallas Boehne dished out 19 assists while Rebekah Goodrich and Kate Thuestad each had five kills. Alyssa Arends had six digs in the winning effort.
Indian Creek (8-8, 3-3 Little Ten Conference) will play at LaMoille in the opening round of the Little Ten Conference tournament on Monday.
"After playing each other tonight and having close games back and forth, we go into Monday night's games knowing what each other has," Indian Creek coach Stephanie Crutcher said. "I'm proud of how the girls bounced back after the heart-breaking loss [to Hinckley-Big Rock] on Tuesday."
DeKalb downs Geneseo: The Barbs exhibited a well-rounded offense in their 25-13, 25-13 win over Geneseo on Thursday.
Madison Lord, Courtney Bemis and Abby Hickey each had four kills and Lord also dished out nine assists. Hickey also contributed four aces for DeKalb (20-4).
Kaneland outlasts Ottawa: The Knights swept Ottawa in two games, 25-11, 27-25. Ellie Dunn and Lyndi Scholl led Kaneland with eight kills each. Ashley Prost had 22 assists and Shayna Tucek had 11 digs.
Indians fall: Sandwich lost a tightly contested match, 25-22, 26-24, to IMSA. Hannah Weatherly had nine digs and Clarissa Lopez led Sandwich with seven kills.
Somonuak defeats Westminster: The Bobcats rallied past Westminster with a three-set victory, 21-25, 25-14, 26-24.
The Bobcats (10-10) were led by Allison Humes and Jacquelyn Thorp with six kills each. Throp also added four block kills.
Sycamore keeps rolling: Even with the Northern Illinois Big 12 title wrapped up, the Spartans keep on winning.
Sycamore defeated Ottawa, 4-1, on Thursday. Angelina Ye won, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles while Alexa Farris won, 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. The doubles team of Aspen Paulsen and Alyssa Gregorec won in three sets at No. 2 doubles and Kathryn Sullivan and Lauren Lundbeck combined for Sycamore's final point at No. 3 doubles.
The Spartans are 15-1-1 on the season and host Dixon on Monday, the last home match for seven Sycamore seniors.
DeKalb downs Kaneland: The Barbs avenged their only tie in Northern Illinois Big 12 play with a 3-1 victory over Kaneland. DeKalb (7-1-5, 5-0-1 NI Big 12) got goals from Andrew Stratton, Trevor Freeland and Owen Sawyer.
"We just really came out with a mindset that we wanted to come out and exert ourselves offensively while staying disciplined defensively," DeKalb coach Brett McIntosh said. "This was one of our better possession games."
Anthony Parillo scored the lone goal for Kaneland (8-3-2, 3-2-1).
Indian Creek posts shutout: The Timberwolves (7-11) defeated DePue, 2-0, on the road. Playing without its two leading scorers, Indian Creek's Dillon Martenson and Gavin Eberly picked up the scoring slack with first-half goals. Jeremy Potter had 11 saves in the shutout and Carlos Sanchez had two assists.
Somonauk swings past H-BR: Jessica Schultz carded a 39 to help lead Somonauk to a 185-221 win over the Royals. H-BR was led by Caitlyn Fecht's 51.
