DeKALB – A motorcyclist suffered minor injuries while trying to avoid an accident Thursday on Sycamore Road.

DeKalb police Lt. Jason Leverton said a car attempted to turn southbound out of the Arby’s parking lot onto Sycamore Road shortly after 5 p.m. A row of cars stopped at a red light obstructed the driver’s view of the other lane, and the driver failed to see an oncoming motorcycle.

The motorcyclist swerved to miss the car, and the motorcyclist went into another traffic lane after falling off the motorcycle. Leverton said the motorcyclist was able to avoid striking the car, driven by Danielle Wright, 20, of the 200 block of Walnut Lane in Elk Grove.
