Teams will join in Bowl a Strike for Seniors, a fun and friendly event to raise funds for programs and services for area seniors, on Oct. 14.

Bowling locations will include Idle Hour Lanes in Sandwich, Mardi Gras Lanes in DeKalb and Parkside Lanes in Aurora. Each team will play one game, shoes included, at no cost. Participants raising $75 in pledges will receive an event T-shirt and those raising $150 will receive a sweatshirt.

All proceeds from this event will benefit programs and services provided by Fox Valley Older Adult Services for seniors in DeKalb, LaSalle, Kendall and Kane counties, including classes and activities at the senior center in Sandwich, meals and transportation in collaboration with the Voluntary Action Center of Sycamore, in-home services and adult day service sites in Sandwich, DeKalb and Aurora.
