Christian store supports food assistance programs
Christian Connection, the Christian store at 337 W. State St. in Sycamore will host a community food drive in cooperation with Salem Lutheran Church and Sycamore United Methodist Church during Christian Store Week, Sept. 28 through Oct. 8.
Additionally, a special enhanced CD compilation will be available for a $5 donation to raise awareness of the need for food assistance and support World Vision U.S. food and anti-poverty programs.
“Because of the continuing recession and continued high unemployment, there is a growing need for local families and children to rely on community support,” Shari Malm of Christian Connection said in a news release. “We want to help meet that need.”
