2012 Atlas and Plat
available at farm bureau

DeKALB – The 2012 Land Atlas and Plat book is now available at the DeKalb County Farm Bureau.

The book provides updated information on land ownership, plat maps for each township, aerial maps and a soils map. It also gives precise displays of parcel boundaries, roadways, waterways, railways, section lines, municipal boundaries, acreage and an index to owners.

Latitude and longitude grids for GPS reference are also provided along with a rural addressing grid. The cost of the book is $25 for members and $50 for others.

Mariam Wassmann, director of information for the DeKalb County Farm Bureau, said the book is popular among farmers, business people, real estate agents, agribusinesses and bureau members. She said because a new edition comes out every two years, people can stay updated on the transfers in land, especially farms, which has become more frequent.
