Judge OKs subpoena for state’s attorney in former client’s case

SYCAMORE — A judge granted a motion Wednesday allowing the state’s attorney to be subpoenaed for a hearing on a Sycamore man’s motion to withdraw his guilty plea on charges of sexual abuse.

Rudy Salazar, 58, of the 700 block of Park Avenue in Sycamore, was sentenced in June to 13 years in prison.

After being charged in April 2009 with sexually abusing a teenage boy, Salazar pleaded guilty in July 2010 to two counts of criminal sexual assault. Salazar was represented in the case by Clay Campbell, who is now the DeKalb County state’s attorney.
