IVVC names September students of the month

Indian Valley Vocational Center of Sandwich recently announced its September 2012 list of Students of the Month.

This recognition program spotlights students from its 13 onsite programs, and cosmetology and fire science, selected by the program instructors for qualities such as outstanding professional work, enthusiasm, attendance, initiative and demonstrated work ethic. Each IVVC program can select a different student each month for special recognition and an award certificate.

The September 2012 IVVC Students of the Month are:

Auto Body Repair – Tyler Sebby, Sandwich High School; Automotive Technology – Taylor Morphey, Somonauk High School; Building Trades – Justin Hatfield, Indian Creek High School; Computer Technology – Juan Castellanos, Newark High School; Culinary Arts – Alexandria Woodhouse, Yorkville High School; Drafting & Design – Zachary Goldsboro, Somonauk High School; Early Childhood Development – Corinne Mewmaw, Plano High School; Fire Science – Hayley Hinterlong, Serena High School; Graphic Communications – Delaney Voss, Sandwich High School; Health Occupations, CNA – Caitlyn Wise, Serena High School; Health Occupations, Exploring Medical Careers – Alyssa Allen, Paw Paw High School; Law Enforcement – Erika Carlson, Hinckley-Big Rock High School; Sports Medicine – Trey Jansen, Sandwich High School; and Welding & Fabrication – Kyle Pearson, Sandwich High School.

IVVC is owned and operated by 11 school districts: Earlville District 9, Hinckley-Big Rock District 429, Indian Creek District 425, Leland District 1, Newark District 18, Paw Paw District 271, Plano District 88, Sandwich District 430, Serena District 2, Somonauk District 432 and Yorkville District 115.
