Indian Valley Vocational Center invites all former, current and future students, parents, and community members to its annual Open House from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
The event will be held at the IVVC campus located at 600 Lions Road in Sandwich. The Fire Science program open house will be at the Sandwich Fire Station during the same times.
IVVC is a career center owned and operated by 11 school districts: Earlville, Hinckley-Big Rock, Indian Creek, Leland, Newark, Paw Paw, Plano, Sandwich, Serena, Somonauk and Yorkville.
Junior and senior students from these districts can register for career programs as a part of their high school day attending for 2½ hours either in the morning or the afternoon.
The current program offerings are Auto Body Repair, Automotive Technology, Building Trades, Computer Technology, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Drafting and Design, Early Childhood Development, Fire Science, Graphic Communications, Health Occupations-Exploring, Health Occupations-CNA, Law Enforcement, Sports Medicine-Management, and Welding and Fabrication.
