Ex-official’s horses net $2.4M at auction

DIXON – An auction of horses and equipment seized from a renowned breeder and former small-town Illinois bookkeeper accused of stealing millions in public funds brought in $2.4 million during the weekend, with more scheduled sold Monday, officials said.
