Chicago to offer Wi-Fi
in parks, open spaces

CHICAGO – Free wireless Internet is available in downtown Chicago’s Millennium Park, a service the city says will eventually be offered in all of its parks and open spaces.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced the Chicago Broadband Challenge on Monday. As part of the effort the city will expand high-speed Internet access in underserved and disadvantaged neighborhoods.
