PREP ROUNDUP: Dubrick, Barbs win Byron Invite

DeKalb’s Marc Dubrick won the Byron Invite, finishing in a time of 15 minutes and 16.54 seconds. The Barbs boys cross country team took first as a team with 33 points, Sycamore was fifth with 104 and Genoa-Kingston took ninth with 234.

Dubrick’s teammate, Isaac Heitanen, took second in 15:42.7, and Sycamore’s Adam Millburg was third at 15:47.84. The Barbs’ Patrick Martin was fourth (15:51.63). Colin Martin (16:16.23) was 12th for DeKalb, while teammate T.J. Neidel finished 14th (16:23.55). Sycamore’s Dylan Schmidt was 16th (16:33.62).

Zach Herrman was the Cogs’ top finisher, taking 33rd with a time of 17:18.09.
