McDonald's planning to add healthier menu items

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

McDonald’s is going to start posting the amount of calories contained in each item on the menu boards.Looks like they are also planning to add healthier menu items.

The restaurant chain has made some past efforts to improve the nutrition value of their menu by adding items such as a fruit and yogurt parfait, oatmeal, grilled chicken snack wraps, apple slices, and a variety of salads.

With so many people relying on fast foods to accommodate their hectic schedules, it’s more important than ever for restaurants to continue to find more healthy and appealing alternatives.

I believe that access to caloric information for menu items will be an extra nudge for people to make healthier choices when eating fast food, and hope that all restaurants will continue to follow suit.
