Collette Vacations and Carder Travel’s Northern Illinois Travel Society Club will offer “Heart of Cuba,” a trip to discover this country’s delightful people, island culture, unique history and beautiful landscapes. The trip will begin Feb. 10, 2013.

The group will cross the cultural divide, exploring the art, history and culture of the Cuban people. After overnighting in Miami, enjoy a single seven-night hotel stay in Havana. Step back in time and learn about the capital city’s architecture. Explore ‘Life in Cuba Today’ with a local guide. Travel to the town of Vinales and meet an organic farmer and his family. Discover the nation’s undersea treasures at the National Aquarium. Visit the home of Ernest Hemmingway, Finca Vigia where he conceived his final masterpiece, “The Old Man and the Sea.”

For more information, contact Steven Johnson or Phyllis Carder at Carder Travel, 2410 Sycamore Road, DeKalb, at 815-756-1547.
