Cogs run away early
GENOA – When the Genoa-Kingston football team was given an opportunity, it took it and ran with it.
It was an early start for the Cogs (2-2) in their first win at home after defensive back/running back Eli Thurlhad an interception on a pass thrown by Rockford Christain (0-4) quarterback Coleman Nelson on his own 26-yard line. Jose Ruiz then ran for the first touchdown of the night for G-K.
Rockford Christian answered quickly with a touchdown on its next possession.
