50th anniversary

Jim and Jackie Roth of Sheridan will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 5 to 10 p.m. Sept. 22 at American Legion in Sheridan. The event will be hosted by their children, Jim Roth Jr. and Jaimi Johnson, both of Leland.

Jackie McConnell and Jim Roth Sr. were married Sept. 22, 1962, at Malta Lutheran Church, Malta.

Jim retired as a steel fabricator from J.W. Todd Co. in 2009. Jackie retired as the owner of Roth Cleaning Service in 2008. They love fishing, campfires and spending time with family and friends.

They have one son, Jim Roth Jr. of Leland; one daughter, Jaimi (Frank) Johnson of Leland; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.


Paul J. Moore of Chicago and Dorothy (Nigro) Heintzelman of  Geneva, announce the marriage of their daughter, Gina M. Moore, to David L. Michalak. 

The couple was married  at 11 a.m. Aug. 8, 2012, in Couples San Souci Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

Parents of the groom are David P. and Susan (Kirstein) Michalak of Batavia.

The bride is employed as an administrative assistant for Diamond Envelope Corp. in Aurora. The groom is a production manager at Aspen Marketing Services in West Chicago.

The couple will reside in Sycamore.
