Historical museum to hold open house

The Shabbona-Lee-Rollo Historical Museum opened its doors for the first time to the public 20 years ago this month.

Many people responsible for the great effort in bringing the project to fruition are no longer with us. The theme for the opening was Country Schools.

The museum will be open to the public from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 30 to celebrate this occasion. The focus will be on country schools from the past, and people who attended country schools are welcome to reminisce at the museum.
