County preserves plan fall forest walks

The DeKalb County Forest Preserve District has scheduled several Fall Forest Walks.

The Potawatomi Woods Forest Preserve walk will be at 5:30 p.m. Friday. Led by Master Naturalist Ron Peabody, participants will hike from Potawatomi Woods to McQueen Forest Preserve and back. To attend, meet in the parking lot. Bring bug spray, good walking shoes or boots and drinking water.

The Afton Forest Preserve walk will be at 9 a.m. Sept. 29. Led by Tom Robbins, the walk will focus on close-up photography. Participants will meet in the second parking lot (first one on the right).
