Creating Comics class offered for kids

Creating Comics is a class offered by the NIU Community School of the Arts for children, ages 8 to 13, who enjoy drawing and who like to tell a story.

Students learn to express action and emotions with their drawings.  At the last class, students take home a finished comic. The class meets on four Thursdays from 4:15 to 5:45 p.m. beginning Sept. 20.

Teacher Ryan Burns is an accomplished artist and experienced teacher; he is currently working on his master’s degree in the School of Art.
