Tippitt joins American Heart Association

Valerie L. Tippitt of Poplar Grove has joined the American Heart Association as its corporate events director for the Rockford, DeKalb and Sycamore areas.

Her primary responsibility is to support the association’s key initiatives, including the Go Red For Women and My Heart My Life movements, as well as the Heart Walks.

Tippitt graduated from Columbia College with a B.A. in communications and previously was a membership development manager at the Rockford Chamber of Commerce.
