DeKalb police looking for robbery suspects

DeKALB – DeKalb police officers are looking for two men who are believed to have displayed a handgun and robbed a man and woman while they were walking from their car to an apartment building Sunday morning.

At 3:52 a.m. Sunday, two people reported they were robbed in the rear parking lot of 1120 Varsity Blvd. by two men who approached them and showed a handgun.

The woman ran, and the man was robbed of a purse, keys and phone.

A police report describes the suspects as black males, both about 5 feet 10 inches tall and between 150 and 160 pounds.

One was wearing a black hoodie and had short hair; the other was wearing a gray sweatshirt or hoodie, according to the report.

DeKalb police encourage anyone with information to call 815-748-8400 or DeKalb County Crime Stoppers at 815-895-3272 or email crimestoppers@dekalbcounty.org.
