To the Editor:
In continuing my efforts to keep in touch with the residents and to seek input on the concerns and issues of the 5th Ward of the city of DeKalb, I am again hosting a Saturday morning coffee at the Barb City Manor, 680 Haish Blvd., from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Residents are invited to join me over a cup of coffee and to share with me their views on the issues that are of interest.
With issues before the City Council such as safe and quality housing, amendments to the liquor ordinance, update of the Downtown Comprehensive Plan, consideration of tax increment financing district expansions and reductions, economic development incentives, property maintenance, budgeting, etc., I am certain there are many thoughts that I have not heard.
I invite 5th Ward residents’ views on these matters and others.
I thank all of the residents that have participated in my coffees of the past, and I value all of the input received.
Should attendance not be possible, I am always available by telephone at 815-756-2359, by mail at 328 West Sunset Place, DeKalb, IL 60115, or by email at email@example.com.
I look forward to good conversation, input and coffee this Saturday.
Ronald G. Naylor
Fifth Ward alderman
