CHICAGO – Chicago police said a gunman opened fire at a family party on the city's South Side, wounding four people, including an 11-year-old girl.
The shooting Sunday night was part of a violent weekend in the city. Altogether, two people were killed and 24 others were wounded in shootings since Friday.
A large crowd of people had gathered outside a home for the family barbecue in the city's Calumet Heights neighborhood.
Police said around 10:45 p.m. a lone gunman fired from across the street. They have no information on a possible motive, though there was a shooting about a block away earlier in the day. It wasn't clear if they were related.
The 11-year-old was grazed in the leg by a bullet.
All victims were in good condition Monday.
